  1. the way our society is set up, it seems that way. but i suggest saying in collage until you figure out how to play life the way you wont it. or you could just live off the land and write books and kill and trap all your food like me.

  2. Why don't you just try it out.  I didn't want to go to college either, but now I'm two semesters from graduating and I'm as happy as can be.  From your spelling, you need some more school.

  3. I'm 15 and I don't think college is for me. But it won't hurt to try it out.

  4. it depends on what you'd like to do that decides if college is necessary. College grads earn more than those who have a high school diploma, 2 year degree or tech/trade diploma/certification.

Many employers view college graduates much differently than those with a high school education or a tech school grad.  They know that a grad has the ability to follow through with what is asked of them since they showed the commitment to finished college as one example of many.

If you have the means to go to college, take advantage of the opportunity.  It's harder to go back to school once you have many financial responsibilities.

  5. For anyone who wanted to further their education.

  6. College isn't for everyone. You are just better prepared for and more likely to get a good job if you have a degree. My father in law is very successful and he never went to college, he just opened his own business. Some people are just born with a good business sense. Anyway, there is no point in spending the money in college if your heart isn't in it. If you hate it you probably wont stay in anyway. Trying to convince parents of this is next to impossible.

  7. sooooooooo,,, what you are saying is you want to be rich and successful without expending any effort ?

I get folks on my job sites just about every day with your attitude wanting a job, wanting the paycheck without wanting to give me any effort.  Then, if they last a week, or two weeks, they want a raise.  How much do you think a medical, or any other for that matter, secretary makes ?

Read what you just wrote for your post.  With that kind of spelling and grammar, I would not hire you.  I'm quite frankly amazed you got accepted to two universities with the skills you have shown here.

This is reality.  I'm not being hateful, just truthful.

BTW, if you think school is boring, what until you hit the real world of working for a living.

  8. Sadly, like every generation, you won't get it until it's too late.  There is no easy way to being rich and I can tell you, medical secretary isn't going to get you there.

You think 12 years of basic education is long?  Wait until you have to work full-time because you will be doing that until you are 70 or dead!

I'm near 40 and went back to graduate school on top of working full time, being married and having kids.  Trust me....being a student only is easy.

If you were to pick up a trade, I'd consider becoming an electrician and specialize in elevator repair.  With disability laws, there will always be elevators and elevators in need of inspection and repair.  The wages for a journeyman electrician can meet or exceed $100k.  If budgeted wisely, you could live a nice life on that.

Whatever you do.  Do get into trouble and have a child before you get your act together.

by the way, Rich and Successful don't always walk hand in hand.
