  1. It depends on the school. Some colleges in New York are more expensive than those in Connecticut and some are less expensive.

  2. It really depends on the school. I live in CT and I'm heading off the college this year in NY. Most of the schools I looked at in CT were pretty high in tuition, however if you live here you'll save on room and board. You should compare the schools you're looking at in New York to the specific schools you are looking at in CT.

  3. Google is your friend!

Visit these websites to look at the fees for both community colleges in New York and Connecticut.

    City College of New York:

    Connecticut College:

If you're resident of the state that you attend college in the tuition will always be cheaper no matter. You might to keep that in mind when choosing a college that's right for you.

  4. Tuition is 99.9% dependent on your state of residency.  Since you didn't really give a college to compare to, its hard to tell you.

Based on my college (William Paterson Univ., NJ):

In-State Commuter Full-Time Students pay $4,998 per semester, while an Out-of-State Commuter pays $8,121 per semester.

Private colleges also do the same in-state/out-of-state deal, so 9 times out of 10, in-state charges are cheaper.

Be a little more specific, include of state of residency and what colleges you want to attend. I'll keep this question on my watchlist, just in case you give a little more info so I can give a little more insight.
