  1. Its what the others said..it depends on what you call a life...but there is always time to fit in hanging out and sometimes going out on the weekends. I played in college and it was lots of work and it was time consuming but I still found out how to have a life outside of vball. I didnt mind because I loved the sport thats what I would rather be doing anyways. SO YES, college volleyball is lots of fun. Its amazing how much the game changes from high school and how intense it can get. I loved every minute of it!

  2. well in college is fun but in practices not in games

Because I'm playing in the for 3 years now.....

em I had notice that players comes from a very good teams and they had made a clique this year and I couldnt play well...

Anyway those who are playing in the team, they dont come up and say that "I'm playing volleyball and I'm the best"

they dont let this out of the court....only in the court

  3. That depends on what you call a life. I was a male cheerleader in college and I played hard and worked hard in school and with my team and traveled more than the other average students.  Was I partying as much as some other friends, NO. Was I meeting other students and make friends outside of MY COLLEGE, YES.  Something My friends did not realize until years after we graduated was a bonus.  SO so it is not true, You make life what you want of it in COllege.  If you love Volleyball that much then go for it.   Note: take vitamins and supplements NOW and protect yrou Knees and joints, listen to yoru trainers, it willhelp.  I am forty now and my knees are shot from all the tumbling.

  4. I'm about to find out next year =) . Many of my friends enjoy playing a sport and going to college. They do have a life, but they really don't have much time to hang out as they have before. If you have a passion for volleyball then why not?

  5. It is not true. I wondered that before I started my first year at university last year. But I was able to do lots of other stuff besides school and volleyball.

Yea the classes are tougher, but you don't have as many per day so you have lots of time to get the homework and assignments done. And where I go to university the prof's are accomidating to to everyone including the athletes. If you need help they give it. Also your coaches should also take an interest in your studies, my coach got everyone's class schedule so that we could practice so it would not affect anyone of our guys classes.

Besides volleyball and classes I also played hockey, but I had lots of time to "have a life", it is all about time management with homework and assignments. Trust me you will love playing university/college volleyball...the competition is better and you travel more.

    Have fun and good luck!!!

  6. That's not necessarily true.

Although, you do work hard and you must be dedicated if you want your team to win. This requires less trips to the keggers, and hangouts, and more time doing the right things, like studying and working out. You can still have fun, but it's not high school. You are there to compete at a high level and earn a degree. That's serious business. As a collegiate athlete, you are not in college to party.

It's not fun, like "I'm in high school and sometimes cute guys come and watch us play."

It is fun, like, "I'm playing Volleyball at an elite level and I'm learning lots of things from this first class coaching staff each year, preparing to possibly play on an Olympic or Pro level."

  7. I sure hope so because I will be playing next year. I really wouldn mind if i didnt have a life...lol...volleyball is my life and my teamates are my closest friends
