  4. yes he was real.  He founded the franchise and then sold it waaay to cheap. Then they changed the recipe and the chicken has not been as good since. and the colonel would visit all his dining establishments from time to time to make sure they were doing things right. He was a great man to the industry. To bad there are not more like him today.
