Is comcast better than other companies like bellsouth?

Welli can answer one part of your question, i have comcast and i absolutely love it!  I live in CO and recently switched from qwest to comcast and WOW what a difference.  Qwest would always cut out constantly, with comcast it itself has not cut out once or drop signal once.  Although i have lost my signal a couple of times but thats just because my router is horrible and keeps locking me up and out of my internet sometimes.  Long story short comcast is good, i am running on wireless right now and i just tested my speed at

www.speedtest.net

and i got 14,069 kb/s download - 2,680 kb/s upload!

Keep in mind this is wireless, on the computer that is hooked straight up to the modem gets about 33,000 kb/s download!!! Thats very high.

I may be bias because I am a Verizon FIOS Tech, but yes we are the best out there. There are several reasons for this.

1) Verizon only hires quality UNION personnel. No contractors that get paid by the job. With us you WILL NOT get a hack and run to the next job type of tech.

2) With FIOS you will have your own direct fiber from your home/business directly back to the Central Office. You will not share your signal with anybody else. The other services bring your signal to a neighborhood junction box and merge it will all your neighbors. From there that signal goes to an area junction box where several neighborhoods get lumped in together before it goes back to their distribution locations.

3) With Verizon FIOS you get the most up to date technology that is available, and still growing.

I have Comcast and it isn't that great
