Is computer science degree useful ?

is computer science a useful subject to take into hand and is it in high demand for companys to look for student who has a graduate degree in computer science?

It is a very useful major to study. But you really have to understand the subject, because if you only know the basics that you'll learn in college it will be not enough for you. You need a diploma in this field only to get a well paid salary. You have to have a great math skills also. I have a friend who is working in this field and he told me that at work he uses less than 10% of what he was studying at university the rest 90% he figure out at work (he was interested in computers since he was a little boy). So if you are not interested in computers now you'll not learn enough in college, but if you are you should choose this major.
