Is cooking for adult children who still live at home a sign of codependency on the parents part?

  2. A lot depends on why your adult children are still living with you. If they aren't working and contributing to the "family" then I probably wouldn't be cooking anything for them. However if they are doing their fair share then it only makes sense to prepare 1 meal instead of 2 or 3 separate ones. Personally I enjoy cooking for my adult children, it is a token of love and it also shows that they prefer my cooking.

  3. No I would see it as a sign of madness...and I mean that..if you're doing it..you are not doing these adults any favours...they should be cooking for you .

  4. No. Some people like to cook and will cook meals for anyone that is in their home.  

  5. When me and my little girl go and visit my mother...mom always has to get up and cook us something, which is sweet but not necessary, we come to visit not put her to work.

    She gets offended when I tell her she doesn't have to cook for us. She says that's the way she shows her love.
