  1. I prefer the sedu.

  2. The SEDU was rated best straightener by a couple of magazines and lots of celebrities and everyday girls swear by it to get their hair completely straight for days on end. Most women with thick, curly hair will tell you that nothing comes close to the SEDU when it comes to flattening and straightening their hair.

However, if you don't have this issue (very thick and wavy or curly hair) then it's really not that big of a difference between the SEDU or Corioliss. They both get the job done very well and are roughly the same price.

I initially wanted a SEDU myself but my parents bought me a Corioliss. I've had it for about two months and so far so good. A lot of people on the internet have written reviews and seem to enjoy their straighteners, but I don't know how well it fairs on very thick and hard to straighten hair.

If you have thick, curly hair, you should probably stick to the tried and true SEDU, if you don't have that problem and find a Corioliss being sold for cheaper, don't hesitate to get one.

Also, as for damaging your hair, all straighteners no matter how good they are, can severely damage your hair. Try to minimize your use of a straightener to around once a week and make sure you use thermal protection like sunsilk or biosilk to rejuvenate your hair and keep it protected. Try to keep the temperature around 370-380 degrees too unless you really need to go higher. Another thing to note is that the SEDU uses metal plates which has a potency to damage your hair faster the more you use it.

    Hope this helps :)
