  1. It's excellent! Being a Dubliner, I have to admit that Cork and surroundings are far better than Dublin. While Cork city might lack the elegance of Dublin's Georgian streets, it compensates in the friendliness of the people. The county of Cork is extremely fine - it's easiest to tour in a car (although possible by Bus eireann and other operators).

  3. Yes, it is. My mom's family is from there. When I was about 14, I got a chance to go there with my grandmother. I was able to see where she was born, etc...Of course, that was almost 30 years ago. But, it was awesome...
