Is corn plastic actually made of ONLY corn?

I was thinking about it and I thought there had to be other ingredients in Corn plastic besides just corn. Do you know if there are any harmful chemicals in corn plastic or if it is biodegradable?

the corn is held (fused) together by polylactic acid (PLA). But other than that, it is entirely corn, it is fully biodegradable, but it is only under the right weather conditions. (for the estimated disintegration time of 90 days)
