Is cosplaying once a year bad?

Question

I only cosplayed once at the comic con this year, and people say only freaks do that. Should I stop or continue and have fun? I do have a life, and I don't watch tv or go on the computer all day. I am confused.

what?? those people are idiots, they're too wrapped up in their own world. who cares what they think?!? its their opinion, yours is different. just ignore them.

cosplay is awesome, they probably had bad childhoods where they werent allowed to dress up so they take it out on others.

i love cosplay and if you love it you should do it.

and seriously how is going on the computer and watching tv all day not a life? its just a differnet way of life. ( though a boring one )

Well let me tell you, I've been an artist at several comic conventions and the thing people and artist like most is guessing what character people cosplay as. It brings life to a show. Even DC and Marvel sometimes hire actors and models to cosplay at display booths. So what your doing is just a natural part of comicdom and fandom behavior. Its great, its fun, its like Halloween without the candy, without candy halloween is simply a masquerade ball. Think of it as a big masquerade comicbook style. Forget them haters. lol

Those people who said you're a freak are just closed minded. Just don't obsess over it and it seems like you don't, and have fun. You only did it once, pffft those kids were pretty much doing the same when they dressed for Halloween :P
