Is cotton wood good for burning?

Just wonderin ghow it burns in a fireplace? Does it burn fast or slow and hot? Thanks for the help, I have one I need to get rid of and not sure if I should split it for the winter or just burn the whole thing outside.

yes cause it is flammable

it will burn faster then oak-other then that use it

it burns ok not like oak more like elm not real hot fire but i will work
