  2. If you can do it in your head, they cannot stop you and it is legal. However, they take a dim view of such winning and can ban you (it is THEIR casino, after all, and they didn't build such a BIG place by paying out winnings).

You cannot use any electronic or mechanical device. Nor can you have cheaters in the crowd.

You can't even use a cellphone at a table. No headsets, etc.

  3. The movie 21 is loosely based on a book that is loosely based on reality.  To put it another way, 21 is to Blackjack what Star Wars is to space travel.

Counting is legal, but the casinos will bar you from playing Blackjack (if you're lucky) up to barring you from the casino for life if you're caught.

It's all beside the point anyway, since the casinos have changed rules to counter card counting.  There are exactly three casinos left in Las Vegas that have real Blackjack (3:2 on blackjacks, single deck).

  4. Yes. Counting Card's is actually legal - 21 is based on MIT (btw)..

Counting Card's IS legal but frowned upon in most casino's, if caught doing so as they are a private buinsess they have the right to bann you from the casino

I dont think it's right to use ure brain, and get barred, but then-again casinos are to loose money.

(Cousin got barred out of Vegas Casino for CC)

  5. It's legal but, if we're talking about Nevada, they often use the "Refusing to Serve Anyone" law. If you're taking advantage of something that is going to give you an advantage, they can kick you out of the casino for any reason. Any reason.

  6. Yes, go for it

  7. It's legal, but they could ban you in Vegas. In California Gaming Card Casinos you could do all the card counting you want. They won't throw you out.

The downside is that California Casinos are built to s***w  that system. So in general, that doesn't work in California.

  8. yes

  9. Yes it is legal it's just that the casino's don't like the way the odds are stacked in the favour of anyone doing it.

  10. Yes, I wouldn't recommend it :).

  11. No

I don't see why if you're using your brain

  12. Yes, it is legal but casinos hate when people do it and may place a ban on it in their casino and throw you out for life if you're caught.

  13. Only if you get caught!

  14. It's legal but you would have to impact on the casinos result in a big way to get backed off a game.

  15. no but the gambling house has the right to ban any one and if they sus you doing it they will ban you x

  16. no - but I wouldn't recommend it!

  17. It is 100% legal but putting the simple stradegy of counting cards in action is harder then it is believed after watching a movie like that

  18. Hi I live in Vegas and used to be a dealer.  To answer your question.  Yes it's leagal to count cards.  However with that said keep in mind there is a law in Vegas that says: Just like you don't have to play with the casinos, they don't have to play with you.  Hanse you can be ejected from any casino.

    Good luck have fun.
