  1. Flexible in which way? Any online program is going to be like a regular school: assigned work and you have to do it all. The one difference is that you should have more time to do what you'd like and you have the flexibility of choosing when during the day to do your work.

I'm not sure what you mean by "full-time homeschooling". If you mean homeschooling under the homeschooling laws, that's the most flexible in terms of what to cover and when. With an online program, you really have to commit yourself every day to doing what they tell you to do.

  2. It's a *public* school, so it's not going to be as flexible as independent HS'ing.  There are school schedules, deadlines, progression limits, etc.  Plus, you'll have one or more teachers to answer to.

COVA is a great school, with an awesome curriculum.

  3. I use OHVA. I like it. I made up our own lessons thru third grade. I decided it was time to buckle down after that and get more intense with our scope of study. The program is really a school in a box. Every day we have to do 5 lessons for each kid. I decide how many lessons are done per subject that day and at what time. The school requires us to do them (and only them), and record the attendence. You can't just use the textbooks when you feel like it and fill in your own stuff as you see fit. Do the online required work first then use the rest of your day to be flexible. The 5 lessons really only take 2-3 hours to complete each day not the time they say. Good luck!

I think you'll like it everything is so well put together.
