Is cracking your knuckles bad for your fingers?

i've been cracking my knuckles a lot lately. is it bad? i just got into the habit

  1. No, it will not. My grandmother constantly scared me when I was younger because I always cracked my knuckles, but it won't. You are releasing air pockets from the joints. Its a myth that was carried around and down and side ways from generation to generation. Too much of it is not good at all, though, and you should slow it down.

    my doctor says that it will contribute to arthrites when i'm older

    and that i will have really "fat" knuckles (that's how he phrased it.

  3. No, that's an outdated myth, there's actually some evidence that it's good for your joints because it allows oxygen into them. Too much of anything can be bad for you though, so maybe just cut back a bit to be on the safe side. Hope this helps! :)

  4. the result of anyone cracking their knuckles is that with age you can end up with athritis. during the duration before old age your fingers will enlarge and it doesn't look well on women.
