Now, the ‘Come and Play’ scheme is set to give the game a new dimension and raise its fame more. The project has been founded by Ajay Maken, a sports minister of India with an aim to bring more and more youth on the field. A SAI official is quoted as saying,
“The target is at least 10, 000 applications, though once the vacations starts, we expect more young people to join in.”
Apart from being a profession, cricket is now a source of livelihood for many in India.
