Is crosby gonna win the best nhl player award at the espy's?

just becuase of popularity. it just isnt right that he would win this season seeing as how he missed a lot of games due to injury.

I doubt it.

Ovechkin and Malkin would be higher on my list than Crosby. Don't get me wrong...I like Sid, he's a great player, but if he were to win it I'd be yelling. Why? I don't think he deserves it. He missed half of the freakin' season. I'd be very content with Malkin or Ovechkin winnning it quite frankly.

He could. 7 some point sin 50 some games- I think his PPG pace was better then Ovechkin's off the top of my head...

It's not popularity. It's the fact that he is an amazing player, as is Ovechkin. It's like asking why Lidstrom always wins the Norris instead of Hal Gil. There is a talent difference, it's not just about who's more photogenic.

i think he will win only because he is the posterboy of the nhl. ovechkin or malkin should really deserve it . croseby is a good player but he was injured most of the season and didnt do c**p in the playoffs .

Probably not. Just because he's the *poster boy* doesn't mean he's going to win. If anybody from the Pens wins it's probably going to be Malkin for leading the team.

An award from ESPN for hockey? HA.HA!

they will probably give it to Tiger Woods seeing how he uses a stick (sorta) to play his game and ESPN would not know the differance between a club or a stick so it wont matter anyway

Crosby is an exelent leader on his team and thats what the Crosby-Haters don't like to look at. He has to be a motivational character and not just a show-off/baby or they would not have put in the captains seat. The player award should not just be for stats but also for character. That said, I don't think he played enough games to win
