Is crucial.com a good place to buy RAM?

I'm going to buy RAM for my dell inspiron 600 and wanted to upgrade to 2GB of RAM.

Yes. Crucial makes EXCELLENT memory, and their site has a utility that tells you what is compatible with your system. Once you find out, maybe you could check www.newegg.com for the same product. Sometimes their prices are better, but any product with the crucial name is well made.

Crucial, Kingston, and Corsair are pretty much the top 3 memory companies in the world (when it comes to quality at least.) They make all of the memory that you see in the highest quality gaming PC's and servers. Their low end stuff does not suffer at all...still top notch. Look for one of these brands and you wont be disappointed

Crucial makes good ram, but their site would probably overcharge you.

A site like Newegg carries a lot more choices. And choices means you can find better stuff for less money.

honestly i would go to office depot or go to a brand name website like memorex or sumthing like tat so tht you know that it will be good
