I had my daughter 15 months ago.. two weeks before high school graduation. Now that she's getting older, I feel like it's time I moved on and went to the next step of my life. I finally decided that I wanted to go to school to learn about food, but I'm not sure if it is going to be a waste of my time and money, or if it will be a good decision in the long run.. please help.

  1. yes it's a good field to go into. Some course take only 3 months and some take longer. But you can come out with a lot of knowledge and know how to cook. You can get a better paying chef's job with your degree from them and maybe one day open up your own place.

  2. Although its a competitive field I think we're going to need folks to work in restaurants.  Doesn't seem like people are really eating out much less.  Remember though that the hours can be bad for a relatively new mother and the pay isn't that great.  If you have a choice, go into health care.
