Question:

Is cursive/handwriting important to learn and if so why?

I have just focused on legible writing.. but they have not been taught cursive..

    Oh my goodness!  Well, I suppose all of those agreements, businsess checks, articles of incorporation, bank documents, and govenrment forms which I've signed over the past few decades are simply void...

    Seriously, I've been printing since middle school with no ill effect whatsoever.  Well, apart from the occasional smirk from an individual without a life (it'd be much worse if my handwriting was on display ;o).
