Is cutting a hole in your own floor edgy?

i dont know what edgy means.but you can cut a hole in a floor.do not cut any beams in the process.be very carefull not to cut any wires or pipes.start with a small hole so you are able to examin as you proceed.and how big of a hole are we talking about.if it is a concrete floor do not do it.seek prof.help.good luck.
