  1. I believe that it is almost always dangerous. However, in order to reduce the danger, when you cyber, use a completely anonymous screen name and name. Do not use your real name, not even your first name. Don't tell them what city you are in. Do NOT use a webcam, they can record the video. Do NOT send photographs of yourself. They can come back to haunt you.

Also, you have to keep in mind that you could unknowingly be chatting with minors, which would make you a pedophile. Even if you were unaware of their underage status, it is always a sticky situation.

I personally think cybering is incredibly dangerous if you don't take proper precautions. You never know who you are talking to. It could be an under cover cop. It could also be your ex-girlfriend trying to get naked pictures of you to ruin your life with.

  2. Appreciate the first answer. No points for me, because this is a question, not an answer--- what is cybering?
