  1. No. Its slightly bulgin towards the equator, as the forces of the spin make it budge. Get a balloon fill it with water and spin it. See the budge? Same on earth, remember its 70% water.

  2. Even a ball is not exactly round.

  3. its slightly elongated, sort of like a baseball, but much much less

  4. It's slightly flattened at the poles, so no, it's not really perfectly round, but it's close.

  5. the earth was originally round when it was formed. but its rotation has changed its shape. while rotatin, centrifugal force tries to push all the matter "away from the center" and this effect is most noticable at the poles.

that is the reason why earth is flattened at both the geographical poles, just like an orange.

  6. No, it is not round. The shape of the Earth is described as an oblate spheroid - the Earth's rotation causes bulging at the equator and 'flattening' at the poles.

  7. nope. It's  acutally an "oblate spheroid" if I'm not mistaken.

  8. yes and no.  It isn't exactly round, it is flattened slightly at the poles (the equator bulges a little).  However, if it were the size of a ball, you wouldn't notice this flattening and you would think it is perfectly round, just like you think balls are perfectly round even though they rarely are.
