Is data entry like a good job or they are cheats?

data entry is like working on forms and paper work for any company and they pay you. do they really pay you good for what u do for them. or they are like scam on the internet. any one who had done or doing data entry, please let me know.

There not all scams.  However most of them require you to have curtain typing speeds and require you to do a lot of different things and the pay, in my opinion is very little.

I know of two places that do pay out.  If you want information on them, there's an article that was written and they were listed.  I know a few people that have worked for them for about a year a peice through these companies, so I know they're not scams.  I recommend you reading the article as well.  Just incase you don't qualifiy for the position or don't get hired, it will help you determine if a company you are looking into if they are scams or not.  You stated in your detailed message that they are like scam on the interent and who has done data entry to please let you know.  So I'm letting you know.

You might be a to find a legitimate data entry job but the one that I tried didnt work for me and then they never gave me a refund when they said they would when I first started. But there is a business called IPC that basically runs automatically for you. You never have to make any calls( you can put your number on the website if you maybe want someone to call you) but other than that, it only takes a few hours a day or less plus the business is legitimate, inexpensive, and has good training and a easy walk through to set it up. It has everything that I wanted in a home-based business. Including marketing techniques and all. they also have it where you can make your own personal website or use a site personally made for you. Data entry is a good job but yeah a lot of them are cheats. I was scammed 2 times before I found one that worked. data entry is like the mcdonald's of clerical work.  meaning very boring work for low wages.  i wouldn't say it's a scam per say, but i would imagine it's only a good line of work to go in if you hate yourself.

I've been doing some work with www.elance.com the past week, all the work is home based, data entry, transcription etc. The only thing is you're competing against people from countries where the hourly rate of pay is a lot lower, so not sure if it would be worth it for you.

Its been updated today to include some Craft type jobs which can be done from home, mainly re-distribution, but it possible to make good money from it if you work hard.

So many online jobs are out there. In fact, to do any online job, you need not want to invest anything. Make sure, you dont pay anything to get jobs online.
