He'll be back for sure, but things are going to be alot different between the brothers.

I heard four months have passed when he was gone..he's not going to recall what happened to him..and Sammy is going to be different...darker..

The thing is that time moves differently in h**l where Dean is currently stuck.  Dean has been dead for four months on Earth but it will seem like a lot longer for him down in h**l.

When Dean gets back in the first episode of Season 4 - 'Lazarus Rising' he doesn't remember anything about the time he spent in h**l & what actually happened to him is going to be one of the big storylines / mysteries of Season 4.  When he does start to remember he will be a bit of an emotional train wreck because he'll be like a POW coming back from the worst kind of war so he will have changed a little bit but essentially he'll still be the same Dean we know and love.

Sam will have been affected by Dean's death in a major way.  Remember how he was for those six months in 'Mystery Spot'?? Well, poor Sam will have been in a very bad place emotionally during those four months without Dean & the relationship between the brothers will change as a result of everything they have both gone through.
