Is death a boring process? Is that why we prefer life above it??

Boring in the sense of non-existence, no nothing, no awareness, no music, no life, no breath, a cript, no where to go, no where to move, static, frozen, no light, no fresh air to breath or smell. Sounds cripy, frightening and sad?

  1. Supposivley there is an after life for those who are good and follow their religion well. See i am christian and in the bible it says that there is an after life for those who choose to live this life well and also i believe in reincarnation the belief that good people will become somebody else in another life after death!

  2. It is the fear of the unknown that is the cause.Once it becomes known fear vanishes.Saints, yogis know death and therefore are not scared.

  3. I think it our nature to survive.  I don't know if we prefer life to death.  But we are compelled to live.  Driven.

  4. My Dear death is Absolute for everyone who has soul, it is boreing or entertaining will depend on your character and following either satan or the only creator.

Remember our life on earth is just like passing a shadow of tree, the life hereafter is forever and for every human on earth.

So, remember death, everyday, and be prepared.

    All the best!

  5. I will tell you about this in your dreams after my death. I am little cruel too.

    Have a nice sleep.

  6. Death isn't exactly boreing. Because u really don't know what's going on (Ecclesiastes 9:5). The reason we don't want to die is because it was put into our heart to want to live (Ecclesiastes 3:11). But don't think God is cruel for doing that. He doesn't want anyone to die (2 Peter 3:9). We have Adam to blame for our death (Romans 5:12). And God will be takeing care of that soon enough (Revelation 21:4)

  7. if a person could remember before birth, wile growing in the womb, the fear of being born would be the same, {the fear of the unknown}

  8. Death is not a boring process, especially if it is not sudden. There are different stages of dying. And probably the reason life is preferred is that it is what each of us is meant to do... live. And when death is final, it is the unknown ( in your words, cripy, frightening, and sad)... how do you know that's what it is?? It could be the start of another journey.

  9. i think you're saying that death means we live in our grave. if that were the case, i don't know what i'd do with my self. that's like seeing h**l coming right at ya. non-existence means just that. you don't exists. you're not bored cuz you're not there. were you bored before you were born? no. cuz you didn't exist.

in the bible, ecclesiastes says that god 'put eternity in our hearts'. that's a poetic way of saying that we have an inborn desire to live forever. and when you look at man's beginning in eden, you see that the purpose for man was for him to live forever and take care of the earth. adam didn't want that so we're suffering right now.

the bible also says, however, that god is in the process of getting things back on course. very soon, he'll be making things better so the earth will be a place worthy to live on and people will live forever and those that died will be brought back and will live forever too.

so really, right now is just a temporary bump in the road to show how bad man is at managing his own affairs. the future is bright and death is only a temporary thing.

  10. Death is permanent for the body. As for the soul, that comes before God for judgement.

  11. Dear Friend,

If we practiced living in The Now, then Your question does not rise as Now never dies and so does our Self, which is experiencing The Now, with its six senses. If, we lived always in the Now, then we would after so called death be living in the Now i.e. experiencing the same state Eternally. Death is the shedding of clothes to adorn some other higher ones. Living in The Now does not make us bother about Life or Death, as we are always Living and will Always Will.

Do you believe that life does end, or may end, at death? Everyone who believes that death may be the end should read the following essay from cover to cover. It represents a serious attempt to identify what may be a critical flaw in the foundation of many modern philosophies. It will help those who study Nihilism, Rationalism, Humanism, Agnosticism, and Existentialism, recognize questions that are probably already on their minds. It will address essential questions that you need to seek answers for. We will suggest that, whether they realize and admit it or not, anyone who does not believe in an "afterlife", be they Rationalists, Humanists, Agnostics, or otherwise, is necessarily a Nihilist.

  14. If that is the case, were not we dead before taking  birth? Before, we were in non-existence, no nothing, no awareness, no music, no life, no breathe, a cript, no where to go, no where to move, static, frozen, no light, no fresh air to breath or smell. Sounds cripy, frightening and sad?

We are just going back where we were, is that correct? What is the problem?
