Is decaf black tea okay to drink during pregnancy??

Okay, so here's the thing. I drink water, juice and milk. I cut out soda and any fruit drinks. I'm 27 weeks preggers and I needed a change of tatse. So I started drinking decaf Earl Grey and decaf English breakfast. I drink probbaly about 1 cup a day. I asked my doctor and she said it was fine. Just as long as there was no cat nip or anyother exoctic herbs in it. I wanted the populations vote! Does anyone else drink decaf black teas? What do woman do in England? Help thanks!

  1. ~ Decaf black tea is just fine to drink during pregnancy. You can also drink   Rooibos tea. This is because it contains no caffeine right from the point when it's harvested. Since caffeine is something which you need to keep an eye on during this special time, rooibos tea is your best bet. It is known to be safe for both pregnant, lactating women, and children of all ages.

    Green tea should not be drink during pregnancy because it can interfere with the absorption of folates in the diet.

  2. the women of england drink a lot of tea :) they just dont do that while pregnant.
