I am a former smoker and for the past few months, I started deeply sniffing ethyl alchohol and liked feeling that burning sensation in my nose and my bronchials. Is this dangerous? Does it have any known side effects or can it do permenant damage? Does anyone have any proof? Thanks!

  1. It's irritating and may make you feel bad, or even drunk:

"Inhalation: Inhalation of high concentrations may cause central nervous system effects characterized by nausea, headache, dizziness, unconsciousness and coma. Causes respiratory tract irritation. May cause narcotic effects in high concentration. Vapors may cause dizziness or suffocation. "

If you don't do it to excess it probably not THAT bad for you, but still, try to quit eventually.
