Is dell.com a good place to buy a laptop?

Went on there and their machines seem to be a lil high. Thoughts?

To tell you the truth i don't like Dell laptops but they work. I would personally recommend HP laptops.

Yes, Dell computers are the highest quality of all computer brands.

That is why you may pay slightly more for them.

You should get an Intel because they don't overheat as easy as AMD ones.

Also stay away from Acer, Compaq and Toshiba as they are made of cheap parts and normally break fast.

I would only recommend Dell or HP laptops.

no, dell is overpriced. Currys and Comet are good, but only when they have sales on. I would just get it from an eBay powerseller tbh. Then that way you dont get all the advertisements or any other c**p on your laptop.

If you get DeLL, get the Latitude series, not the Inspiron series because those are straight up Junk. I run a Latitude D600 and my one before that was an Alienware Area 51m... (Alienware is a division of DeLL)

I suggest u to not to buy laptop from internet as it is not safe. however buying laptop from dell will cost u more as shipment and delivery charge.

not sure about price - but i have had a dell laptop for years and it is first class - after sales is top as well. Would highly recommend Dell - worth paying for the service I say!

No! Dell sucks! Try Gateway or HP, which will give the most bang for buck in my opinion. Tobashi and Compaq are good too. Any thing but Dell! Also, try and get an AMD processor rather then Intel.

get a mac if you can afford 1 they are the best, otherwise go to a best buy type of place they have specials every week for way cheap computers, dells are normally really cheap but you have to wait for them and you have to send them out normally 2 get them fixed if you have a prob. if you go 2 best buy you can get a warranty and they will fix it easy for you

Go to tigerdirect.com. They have good deals on basic computers. You didn't specify what kind of computer you were looking for so I'm guessing you just want one that will surf the net, etc.
