Is diet pop better than regular?

healh wise i mean. im trying to drop some pounds. and i heard if you stop drinking pop or start drinking diet pop, then that will help you loose weight (with excersice and healthy eatting habits of course!) but then i read a study that said diet pop can cause cancer? and i dont want to be fat or get cancer! but i LOVE pop! i can go about a week without it, but sometimes it taste sooo good with certain foods! i am not going to ban pop from my life, but i am going to cut down....so when i treat myself to a nice cold pop....do you think it should be regular? or diet? (idc about the taste or which one tastes better...im talking about HEALTH wise....)

  1. Cut down and stick with regular. The fake sugar in diet sodas makes you crave more food because it's like telling your body you're feeding it sugar, but oh noes! There is none! So your body demands you give it what you promised.

    It has been linked to cancer as well. And obesity.

    Seriously though, cut down on soda and stick with regular. It's the cutting back that will make the difference.

  3. Diet pop and the regular one has the same sugar and calories. They(companies) just put substitute. You could just drink fruit juices which is way...healthier. You can try to drink pop for once in 3 weeks. Before I too love pop but when I knew it could cause cancer I really stopped myself.It is hard at first but I already got used with it. Hope I helped! :)

  4. it truly is best to just stop drinking soda all together.  if you want, try mixing one part juice with three parts seltzer water.  It's a healthier alternative to soda.  haven't tried it myself, but others seem to think its pretty good.  

  5. well, neither are good for u butttt, if u want to lose weight then definitely dont drink normal soda. diet soda has no sugar or carbs or calories or fat or really anything like that, but it still isnt great for u. its not too bad though and u definitely wont gain an ounce from drinking diet soda.

  6. Personally speaking it's not, diet soda has sweetner added to it and to me it taste more sweeter than the regular one + sweetner usually causes cancer; you might want to stop drinking diet...Try drinking tea or water instead, if not just stick to the one's that's lower in sugar
