Is digital phone service any good?

yes, its VoIP, but with one difference....other VoIP provider send their signal over the Internet!

but cable broadband (VoIP) run  the VoIP over their own network, therefor the customer service is much better.....if you have any problem just call them and they come to your house to fix it!

It cost more then other VoIP providers!

I use Comcast (formerly Insight in my area) digital voice.  Before Comcast took over service in my area I have having trouble every other week with Insight.  With Comcast I haven't had a problem and notice no difference between the digital line and a land line as far as quality.  The only problem I've had with a digital line is that whenever the cable goes out, so does my phone... so I can't really call them from my phone to tell them or see when things will be fixed... have to use my cell.
