  1. Dish Network USA programming is restricted to the US due to geographic and competitive rules. Dish's satellites are located over the US, so you couldn't get the signal halfway around the world even if you wanted to. Even Canadian residents are not allowed to subscribe to Dish or its competitor, DirecTV, due to rules designed to protect Canadian satellite TV providers.
