My friends and i are planning a trip for disneyland. There are 11 of us...and I'm paying for the hotel rooms and the gas to drive there...i want this to be a very very very memorable time. We're in college and we've become family over the past year. Now that we're sophomores and have cars, I wanted to go to disneyland so no i'm planning it. I want to pay to go to the character breakfast. I don't want to pay for all of it, but it's $30+ a person and i wanted to make it $20 for my friends to pay. Has anyone been to the character breatkfast? Do you think it's worth it? I'm at about $650 with my ticket, half of another's ticket, hotel, and gas and i want this to be memorable. Should i do this for my friends? or is it too much to ask them for $20?

Most of them are tight on budget, so i wanted to make it affordable for them but i still want to do things they normally wouldn't...and i'm an avid disney goer. Opinions please? OH...and i'm still in the planning process so there is not a set price i've given them for the pricing but i'm looking at $140 per person.

  1. Which character breakfast are you looking at? There are really three that you could possibly do:

Goofy's Kitchen (in DL Hotel)- Goofy's is a buffet, and last I ate there it was around $28, so this is probably the one you're talking about. The breakfast is varied, with a decent selection to choose from. The characters are usually hanging around are Goofy & Max, Aladdin and Jasmine, Pooh and Tigger.

Ariel's Grotto (In DCA w/ special entry)- This is is called "Princess Celebration," so know what to expect. But the food at Ariel's is great (although I don't know what is available during breakfast). And being college guys, this could be a good one (many fond memories of a few princesses...)

Storyteller's (in Grand Californian)- Offering both a regular entree breakfast and a buffet, can cover a wider range in cost. Food here is great, of course. Characters are usually Chip & Dale, Kenai & Koda (Brother Bear).

If you're an AAA member (or your parents are), there are special deals you can get through them as well, which may help bring the cost down a little (but there are cheaper hotels surrounding Disney, and are in walking distance).  If you need anymore help, give me a holler...
