  1. I don't think so. I'm from th east and when I saw the flag when I went to the south I thought any one who had it was racist.  That was just me being ignorant.  One of the first friends I made down there was someone who had a confederate flag in their yard.  I guess I can see why people would want to display it and they can do it if they want.  I also see why some have a problem with it.  I try to look at the person as a person and not just the flag.

  2.   I don't consider is wrong as long as you do it just because you like it.  I live in Tennessee, where is still being used a s symbol of bigotry, and I have my experiences to tell because I'm Mexican, so when I see a bunch of guy in a truck waving the flag I steer clear off them, not because I'm afraid, is just I don't have time trying to explain to them something they don't want to hear.

  3. i think it is

but I'm not sure i totally know the meaning behind the flag

  4. Well as a Canadian sometimes I see confed flags here. Imo that is wrong. Were not even in the same country, plus this is the north. The north won. The south lost.

There is this fancy mini mansion in my neighbourhood where confed flags hang in the window and in the front lawn is a large flag pole with a big one on it. Me and some people actually plan to take the flag down, burn it in his yard, and erect a Canadian flag with the provincial flag underneath it. There is no room for that BS here. Save it for the south.

  5. take in account about how it might affect the people around you, or how you would feel if you were on the opposing side... then you'll get your answer.

  6. It can be viewed as both hatefull and not so if it used in a display implying some sort of racist or reference to slavery or linching that kind of thing then yes  but most of the time it just a reference to southern heritage and pride.  No one had a problem with it on the roof of the General Lee car because the show was a wholesome and family type show that never implied any racisism of any kind.  IN short if you have it your school stuff because ou like it then rock on but if you were waveing as part of some sort of KKK thing then you would be wrong for minimizing it that way.
