Is distence learning degree valuable?

Any degree to be had by distance learning method loses its charm and value (in the eye of industry peoples and employers).

There are many a reasons, here are few:

1. You don't attend classrooms, basic disciplines of classroom and the environment for perfect study are lacking.

2. You don't have fear of competitor student, as in classroom, you have to beat your nearest competitor student by securing better score as compared to his/her.

3. Laboratory/Practical work experience are also absent. What is the practical knowledge that you will gain out of distance learning.

4. What about the projects, summer trainings. You don’t have to do one and if you have to you will submit it taking very lightly without going much deeper in the subject. As there is not feared of internal marks.

5. Who is going to check your knowledge about the subjects as there are no viva or oral examinations?

6. What about the submitting of exam question papers, if you have to appear online in the examination, any misconduct can happen.

7. How will you get in touch with teachers, professors, colleagues and community related to subjects?

And so on..........................

You will get good marks and certificate in your hand at your doorstep by joining distance learning degree programme, but what you will loose is far important that these degree and certificate.

I request you not to join distance learning if possible. And if you need to due to your genuine circumstance than go sincerely.

Employers don't consider it seriously when you have got your degree online. Bachelor in tourism is ok, as far as demand is concerned. But check, if full time courses available by institutes.
