Is distilled water meant for drinking?

Is distilled water safe to drink? I know that some people use it for cleaning, watering plants, ironing and stuff like that, but is it made for drinking? We always buy distilled water and I've been drinking it my whole life, and nothings ever happened to me, but I want to stop drinking it if it's bad. Is spring water safer? Please help! Thanks!!!

people saying its not safe to drink or saying you be better off with out it are lying to be blunt.it may not have all the minerals and stuff but why should you pay more when distilled is just as good.

and you can'r buy pure water because pure water has no taste what so ever it just wet that the only way of describing it

dont stop drinking it as you said youve been drinking it all your life your healthly so why stop

Not really, but it does no harm. It just doesn't have any minerals in it. Spring water still has them. Tap water is just as good.

Distilled water is perfectly safe to drink.  Maybe safer, in fact, because distilling would remove any impurities.

yes its meant 4 drinking but to much distilled dont have minerals in them so dont drink to much distilled water

I would recommend spring or drinking water. I'm pretty sure distilled water cannot hurt you but it doesn't taste that good and it probably doesn't have much nutritional value. Some people use it to make coffee but it's all a matter of preference. I do not like to drink to distilled. It might be okay to cook with. Try Publix drinking water in the big bottle. It's better tasting than Zephyrhills.

Distilled water is completely safe.  It has no minerals in it though.  It is just straight water.  It is used in labs for testing too.  It is perfectly ok!

I'm sure it's fine, it's just water. The only time I've ever used it though is in chemistry class.
