Is distlled water non-conductive?

I'm building a watercooling system for my PC and i want to get the right water that is non-conductive. Can someone tell me which water to purchase and where to buy it? Thanks.

  2. 1) Essentially, yes...its resistance is measured in megaohms.  De-ionized water is as good.  But do not use water from a water softener...here 'hard' ions are merely exchanged for 'soft' ones.

    2)  Don't know where you can BUY it, but most labs, especially analytical, distill their own. If you have access to a university or commercial lab, they would probably GIVE you some. Or look on grocery/hardware shelves for de-ionized water...not sure if they carry it.

    3)  Would be interested in learning how you water-cool a PC.

  3. you will need to get water that has been stripped of minerals and all metals. I think it's called de-ionised water. It's used for ironing etc. as well.
