Im 14 years old. 212-215 pounds . is it good to lose weight instead of running?

  1. as long as you get your heart rate up it is good for losing weight. but dont limit yourself to 1000 reps if you can do more. try not to cause an earthquake.


  2. It's a good CV workout but you're better suited to long, fast walks until you get your weight down a bit.  I'm just thinking about your knees.  Running would be less stress on your knees.  And the best might be bicycling.  That is one of the best low impact excercises.

    BTW, I'm 225 and understand the stresses that weight can put on your joints.  :)  good luck!
