depends on the movie if it has copyrights or not.

if it does then it is illegal..

if it doesn't then it's legal.

Sharing movies over the internet through such a program is illegal because of copyright law.  Even if the film is freely distributed over the internet or free television broadcast, it is still illegal to distribute it over a file sharing program like Limewire. You don't have the right to freely distribute the films, sorry.
