  1. Gatorade was designed to be a sports drind to replace nutrients lost during sweating....I think.  Electrolites.  You can drink it, but you have to drink water also.  There should be two bottles (same size as your gatorade) to one bottle of gatorade, or you are seriously going to mess your system up.  This is how it works, check with others, but make sure you drink water k?

  2. too much sugar,, there's nothing better than water

  3. it is bad for you but my coach told me to  pour half the amount of gatorade into a half full water bottle. basically have 1/2water and 1/2 gatorade drink..it still gives u energy but its 1/2 as bad!

  4. not really. its got a lot of sugar and added flavor.

  5. NO~!!!! my hubby is a dentist and all the guys in IRAQ are drinking it by the tons also..that and mtn dew are terrible for your teeth. He sees so many rotten teeth from it.

Drink the g2 kind w less sugar...

stay away from mtn dew also.

  6. it depends on how much you exercise. if you don't work out @ all, you're simply taking in more sodium and electrolytes than you need.

  7. Three bottles a day isn't.

  8. Sports drinks such as Gatorade are good for getting you re-hydrated and energized if you are doing intense or long-duration exercise - especially if in a hot environment.

There are three words to take note of here: intense, duration and hot. If you are doing light exercise or doing nothing at all (couch-warming) - then Gatorade is a big waste of money. In this situation (and arguably in any typical workout) water is perfectly adequate.

Gatorade provides sodium and potassium. If you are sweating heavily you will lose these two minerals in your sweat. However - I believe you would need to be doing a serious amount of exercise (hours) before loss of these minerals will become a problem (this is a different story if diarrhea and vomiting are involved).

If you drink a whole bottle of Gatorade you are consuming about 56 grams of sugar -- this is not required in a normal sedentary lifestyle -- and in this situation it could be considered "bad" for you.

    Gatorade Ingredients

water, sucrose syrup, glucose-fructose syrup, citric acid, natural and artificial flavors, salt, sodium citrate, monopotassium phosphate, ester gum, sucrose acetate isobutyrate, yellow 5

    Gatorade Nutrition Facts

serving size: 8 fl oz; calories 50; total fat 0g; sodium 110mg; potassium 30mg; total carbs 14g; sugars 14g

  9. Well if there is sugar in it then no. if you are asking if the electrolytes benefit you then only if you exercise vigorously for 2 hours a day. if not then no its probably bad for you.

  10. Well you must be like bouncing off the walls.

  11. sure. it's good for quick calories and electrolites. but i try to only drink this after a work out...otherwise, you're drinking a lot of empty calories.

  12. It is only good for you if you are doing physical activity. You aren't meant to have so many a day, which is written on the bottle and for every litre you drink you are meant to drink a litre of water!

Oh as well as being high in sugar, it contains a lot of salt!

  13. It has a lot of sugar, so that isn't too good for you. If you drink a couple a week i don't think that's bad, but three bottles won't be good for both your teeth and your body.

  14. drinking gatorade isn't bad for you, but if you drink it a lot it could be.

gatorade is made for sports. athletes drink it after exerting energy so that it can restore their electrolytes .

  15. woah uh im not too sure but they have a lot of sugar i play sports so i drink them too but the best time to drink gatorade is like b4 or after like working out or something ur supposed to drink water while like doing a workout so yeah
