Is drinking gonna be legal at 18?

I'm 19 and i drink "occasional" lol. I wanna know is it true and when? Me and my mom was talking about it and of course she disagrees. But if the age limit goes to 18...i'm heading straight to the liquor store with my head held high lmao!

I seriously doubt it - this is a move by the universities to get them off the hook for failing to curb underage drinking by their student body.  It won't happen - and lord help us if your post is any indication what would happen if it did.  Ugh.

Probably not.   You can drink on overseas bases when you are in the military, so if it is that important to you, you may want to visit with a recruiter.

If society believes that at 18 you are man/woman enough to get your head blown off in a war...

Then at 18 you should be man/woman enough to drink a beer.

It's amazing that in Germany there really isn't a "drinking age" and they do not have half the problems with drinking that we do over here.

Isn't that kind of funny?

Maybe if our society didn't make drinking out to be some big voodoo secret grown up thing, people wouldn't over indulge when they finally do come of drinking age.

They have enough problems with the dumbsh!ts that are 21 and drink.  No way will they lower the drinking age here.  I'm LMFAO reading such a statement.  After a while, you grow up and get over drinking.  I'm 24 and I drink a glass of wine every single night, but I don't get ''smashed'' or ''s**+tfaced".  That's the difference between a partier drinker, like yourself, the "occasional" drinking HA and the responsible drinker, like myself.  Move to Germany if you wanna drink at your age.

In some area's of the country they are talking about it again. The state of Iowa is considering the change but I think it is only to appease the bar owners that claim they have lost so much because of new smoking laws! 21 is where most states are and that is where it should stay!

It is more likely to be raise to 25.

It will NOT be lowered to 18.

probably not going to change and if it does you will be 21 by the time it happens! it's not a quick process.
