  1. drink mountain water any time

purified water comes from reservoirs and rivers

the purification deal with biological factors but does little about the PH.

and this is changed by pollution of landfills and aggro chemicals that are impregnated in the soils  and that get washed into the rivers with the rains ,.

a Change of PH towards acidity affects human sexual development in embryos in the wombs of pregnant women that drink the water ,and is a reason why so many babies in Mexico are born infertile ,A sexual or g*y .

So drink pure clean mineral mountain water .it is the safest water around

  2. The honest answer is that probably nobody knows. To find out would take a large double blind experiment where a bunch of people were separated into two groups. One that drank only mountain spring water, but did not know it. The other group only drank purified water, but also didn't know it. Then after a number of years you could compare levels of illness between the two groups and see which was healthier. Without that type of study, this question cannot be answered.

Even if such a study were performed it would probably only apply to the specific mountain spring water tested. I am sure there are variations in different spring water trace minerals that would have health impacts.

I just did a quick google search for "water health impact study" and found several studies that are looking at water sanitation impact on health but nothing that considers mineral water versus purified water or versus spring water.  That makes sense because lots of people die due to unsanitary water.

On a theoretical basis it is conceivable that if just the right combination of trace minerals were present in spring water that it could be an important source of minerals that your body would be deprived of if you drank only pure water. However, it is fairly likely that you would also get those minerals from food as well, especially from vegetables.

On the other hand it is also conceivable that you might get one or more harmful minerals from spring water, especially from mountain spring water if there is a history of mining in the area because mines often leach heavy metals into the local ground water. So on balance I think I would chose to drink pure water if I had the choice.
