  1. Medical has no reservations over it. You may start eating by drinking water or something but medical do tells about not drinking it too much without having some solid food.

    The Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any of you breaks his fasting he should eat dates for dates are a blessing, if he didn’t find dates then drink water for water is purifying. [Abu Dawood]


  3. There is no harm in drinking water but I guess sometimes when its time to do Iftar, even when not thursty we just want to drink water but the thing is soon over after we have eaten something.

  6. No water is not harmful to break your fast. Just take sip/drink but do not gulp it down. If you drink too much too fast your stomach will become full and you will not eat that much when you eat your meal.Just go easy on any liquid you drink sip it/ drink it slowly then you will not get a stomache after your done with iftar.
