Is drinking wine healthy for you as opposed to not drinking it all?

  2. it has a lot of antioxidants and people in france and other european countries who drink it regularly are supposed to have lower incidents of heart disease, but you can get antioxidants from other sources as well.  i say one glass of wine a day doesn't hurt, if you like wine.  i happen to love it and think i'll go pour me a glass right now.

  4. Well wine works you liver, your liver can only purify your blood at ONE cup per hour so it is definitely healthier not to drink.

  7. From the articles I've read, it's healty to drink 1-2 glasses of wine per day. It helps the heart by providing relaxation. Red wine in particular has a chemical (reservratol?) that provides further antioxidant benefit. The key is not to go overboard, I think it's 1 glass tops for most females, 2 for most males.
