  1. It`s helpful but not necessary. Ironically they don`t even teach you how to drive a car. Ask your parents.

  2. The only thing it is really helpful with is the monthly payments you will have to make on your car insurance. I would've done it but I didn't have enough money.

  3. Lowers car insurance :D

  4. I'm not sure about where you live, but in TX you can't get your license without some type of drivers ed.

  5. doesnt help you get it faster, but in most states it lowers insurance rates and it helps you learn more of the rules of the road which is a good thing...do us all a favor and be a responsible driver cuz we dont need any more c**p drivers on our roads. Course or no course, just do that for me, k?

  6. no it dont. but you do get the license easier.

  7. it does a few things. it reduces the wait to get your g2 by 4 months (you can get it 4 months earlier). it also saves money on insurance (my parents saved a couple thousand). it also makes you a better and smarter driver

  8. yup

  9. In some states, a driver's ed class is required in order to get a license. Check with your insurance company, or whichever insurance company you plan on using. They should be able to tell you if the program offered at your school will get you a lower insurance rate. Some companies only give lower rates to the programs they deem acceptable, and the one at your school may or may not be good enough for them. If it is not, then find a program that is. Farmers Insurance offers a day long class that if you pass, you get a certificate, which you can give to the DMV for your license once you're 16 (you get to skip the actual drivers test), and they'll insure you for less money. School programs usually don't give you any sort of short-cut for getting your license, but at very least the education they offer is valuable. And no matter what, you can't get it before you're 16. I'm assuming you're in the USA though!

  10. I think its like a pretest if you ace the drivers ed you know you will do good and if you fail you know you have to study more.

  11. Drivers ed will definitely help you to get your drivers license faster -- it will also make taking the written exam on your drivers test much easier -- not to mention parallel parking!

As others have already stated, it will also make your car insurance lower, as you are at less of a risk of getting in an accident.  When I took drivers ed in high school, there were times when it was boring (especially the class portion) but it definitely proved to be helpful once I was buying a car and taking my test.  Best of luck!!

  12. A lot of insurance places give you a discount with proof of driver's ed completion.

  13. Yes, it teaches you how to drive before you try to get youre licsense so when you take youre drivers test it will be easy and 2nd nature.

  14. you don't need school until after your learners and for your license, so no not really the questions are simple. just take the class right when you need your license.

  15. It doesn't lower car insurance by much.

Most of the time, you aren't actually driving.

    It's expensive in most places.

    It's boring.

    Most teachers are jerks.

    You won't learn anything good.

Anything you will learn will be forgotten.

Just watch a parent or friend drive. Observing will teach you all you need to know.

  16. Take it, it teach the the fundamentals of the road, upon completion of the course you get your restricts, and get a discount on your car insurance

  17. well where i live its required that you take drivers ed to get your license, but honestly i barely ever read the book, cheated on every test, and went through the on-road tests easy without using anything i learned in class
