  1. Definitely fly. It is not worthed driving all the way at all

  2. I wouln´t. Easier to fly. Probably cheaper too.

Some roads here are pretty bad.

  3. If you are not going alone, I think you should drive to Foz de Iguacu. Just be careful to drive. The road is beautiful and it worth it. But if you are going alone I think the plane ticket will be cheaper than going by car.

  4. Drive, NO problem!

  5. Another issue is that rental cars and fuel will both cost more in Brazil than in the United States. An advantage to driving is that you can get around easily in Foz do Iguaçu. Public transportation isn't great, so you'll be stuck with cabs if you don't have wheels. The good news is that cabs are relatively cheap.

  6. Driving is theoretically possible but remember that in Brazil you have to be on super alert when you drive, because traffic and road conditions are different. Further, this particular route has the added danger of armed robbery of passengers in vehicles, using ploys such as false road blocks etc. This is because Iguazu is the cross over point to the duty free shopping in Paraguay, and a steady stream of small shop owners and independent merchants make a living by crossing to Paraguay and buying goods worth thousands of dollars to resell in Brazil. Many use road transport to get there and back, so the roads out of Iguazu are highly prone to armed robbery. I wouldnt advise it. Its safer to fly.
