  1. It shouldn't be, however if your rat is showing signs of sickness, e.g. lethargy, vomiting, etc., then take it to the vet and explain what happened. A more likely cause of sickness would be bacterial infection due to dirt on the piece of duct tape. Was it dirty? If not, then don't worry, just keep a closer eye on your rats from now on, and make sure they can't get near it--you don't want them to get their paws sticky! :)

  2. It's not a good thing but I don't believe it will cause any major problems. You should be safe. Rat's tend to have a high tolerance for things they eat.

  3. Not at all =)  What most people don't know about rats is that when they gnaw on something they aren't actually eating it, their mouth is designed with special flaps that stop bits of debris from going down their throats.  I highly doubt your rats are actually eating it, just gnawing it to pieces.  They would only get sick if they actually ate a LOT of it, which a rat would never do.

    Good luck with your rats!

  4. yes

  5. rats can eat anything often including rat poison and it wont affect them. they will be fine but try to avoid this type of diet!
