Question:

Is dying/high lighting your hair bad?

Hey guys, I have like, dirty blonde hair, and I have been thinking about dying it for some time now. I can't decide if I want to dye it a dark brown color, or get some blonde high lights. I just want it to look natural though, you know? Like I know people will obviously be able to tell but still...

Anyway, are either of those things bad for your hair? And if I do either, will I have to continue doing it after that, every so often?

Comments would be greatly appreciated, I don't know what to do!

Thanks so much!!

  1. no, neither is harsh or bad as bleaching your would be.

it does some damage, but if you do it correctly, or go to a salon, little damage would take place.

I suggest, since you said you want to keep it natural, put in some highlights. especially is this is your first timing coloring your hair.

you can go to a salon, or Sally's (I prefer a salon), and ask for help with shades and what you'll need to do.

    :]

  2. i think that if you dye it once its ok but dying it more that that will really cause damage to you hair. if you really want to keep your hair looking healthy, i would reccomend you NOT getting it dyes and just getting highlights. my friend dyed her hair like 2 times and like very single strand of hair that she has has split ends, its really gross..

and if you dye your hair, its most likely it will grow out in about 4-6 months and highlights grow out about 6 months also (depends on which product you use)

  3. no, the dye has vitamans so it doesnt damage ur hair

  4. No, you just need to condition your hair everytime you shampoo and use a deep conditioning treatment once/week. You'll be just fine.
