  1. NO

  2. I think you are raising concern about ethical conduct & scientific investigation?  Ethics have always impacted scientific investigation when dealing with humans.  One can hardly poison humans to determine how much poison it takes to kill them... at least not in most countries.

If I wanted to find out how much pain could be inflicted on a human before they killed themselves, I would most certainly be hampered by ethics.  Other ethical concerns are less defined & many have more to do with religion than with scientific ethics.  However, the answer is "YES" ethics do r****d scientific investigation to a large degree.  I suspect political correctness has as much to do with retarding scientific investigation as ethics in most Western countries.

  3. I would think so, but what would we compare it to to know? I think about this a lot and if there was some "absolute" out there that we could come to know and understand one day, we may realize that everything we think we know is skewed incorrectly by our own conducting of it. Our math, our physics, our psychology. It's whacked out.
