Not eating Kosher? Eating a normal diet with Pork, Shellfish, etc. ?

  1. No.

    About 3,000 years ago the Hebrew people noticed that if they ate certain foods like pork or shellfish, there was a heightened chance that they would get sick and die.  

    So they made those foods forbidden.

    Okay, that was then, this is now.  If foods are properly treated with respect to cleanliness, there's no value whatsoever for eating a kosher diet.  

    Pig, creepy-crawlies on the bottom of the ocean, or creatures that don't have both a cloven-foot and chew the cud -- perfectly okay.


  2. NO, kosher is simple a religious form of blessed food.

  3. It's just cleaner and more sanitary...  

  4. Yes, I prefer having a sub sandwich with out the cheese.  Meat & Cheese don't go.
